Thank you to the 33 families who have participated in the survey so far. 1st Grade families are leading the survey and 3rd grade families are close behind! The survey will remain open through Sunday, so please provide your input to elp us have a great year together!

Picture Day is Tomorrow!
Dress to impress, but also to have a fun day at school! Thank you to our volunteers who are assisting.

Community Friday Flag this Week!
Families are welcome to join us for our first Community Friday Flag this Friday morning! We’re excited to have you with us.

Here are a few reminders to help everyone arrive and get settled safely:
  • Please wait in the courtyard when you arrive. Keep all walkways clear so our TK and Kindergarten students can safely make their way to the blacktop.
  • Once all students are settled, families will be invited onto the blacktop and may gather near the playground structure by the flag.
  • Please avoid gathering near the 5th, TK, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade classes so students and staff have plenty of space. We will share a visual on Wednesday showing the family viewing area.
  • Friday Flag is not a time to deliver items to students. Please drop forgotten items off at the office, and students can pick them up there.
  • Some of our younger Jaguars may become emotional when they see their families (or maybe you will). Please allow their teachers to support and comfort the students so they can remain with their class and refocus to be a part of the class..
Thank you for helping us keep Friday Flag safe and enjoyable for everyone. We look forward to having you join us!

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Review Drop-Off Pick Up Safety Reminders!

  1. There is NO parent/ visitor parking in our staff parking lot.  If you must park your vehicle, please park along the street in designated areas only.  Do not park in our loading zones during pick-up or drop-off times (anywhere inside the drop-off circle).  Do not park or pick-up in red zones/cone zones.
  2. Always obey the 5 mph rule and be cell phone free when in the pick-up zone!
  3. Pull forward as far as possible in the car line and wait until the staff member or volunteer clears you to drop off/ pick up your child.  During pick-up, if you find yourself at the front of the line and your child is not visible, you must pull out of the lot and circle around by carefully turning left onto Carson Lane.
  4. There is only ONE entrance to the lot at Carson and Kit.  Do not enter through the exit.  Do not exit through the entrance.     Do not block the crosswalk.
  5. Carpool whenever possible; this helps to alleviate congestion.
  6. Children are to exit the vehicle on the passenger side, nearest to the curb.  This ensures that children are not walking between/ behind cars.
  7. Parents are not to get out of the car to assist. Have child safety locks turned off.  Do not pack items in the trunk; this significantly slows down the process. The teacher/volunteer stationed in the Pick-Up/ Drop-Off area will help your child exit/ enter your vehicle if needed.
  8. Always use the crosswalk supported by the crossing guard. Do not motion for your child to run through traffic/cross the street to your parked car.  Hold onto your young child’s hand when walking across the crosswalks.
  9. Be respectful of the teachers/ volunteers who serve as yard duty supervisors in the lot.  Accidents happen.  It is our collective responsibility to ensure everyone’s safety, including your child’s.  No compromise is worth the potential risks involved.

This information can be found in the Jensen Ranch Handbook and is part of the annual registration process. It is your responsibility to know the drop-off and pick-up rules & to discuss these rules with your children & anyone who drops your children off or picks them up.
