Happy July, Jensen Jaguar Families!

It’s hard to believe, but the first day of school is just around the corner—less than two weeks away! I hope your summer has been filled with plenty of relaxation, fun, and meaningful time with family and friends.

Please take a few minutes to read through our first newsletter of the year so you have the information you need to prepare for a wonderful start to the school year.

We are so excited to welcome our students and families back to campus! This year, we are thrilled to welcome three new classes to Jensen Ranch: a TK–K Special Day Class, a K–2 Special Day Class, and our very first TK general education class! We also have many new staff members joining our Jensen Ranch team to support these amazing programs. We are so happy to have them as part of our Jaguar family!

Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for an incredible year filled with learning, growth, and community connection. We’ve also been busy with some exciting campus improvements, including four new portable classrooms on the field and new restrooms on the blacktop. There are still a few projects that will not be completely finished when we begin the school year. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these final details and put the finishing touches on our campus.

Jensen teachers will be scheduling initial assessments for you child one day after school during the first two weeks of school. These initial assessments allow us to have a better understanding of the foundational skills and knowledge your child is the starting the school year with so that we can ensure our instruction targets their needs for a successful school year.

Every Friday, TK students will get out at 11:30 a.m. and students in K-5 will get out of school at Noon. Lunches are available and supervision will be in place for 20 minutes after the end of the school day for all K-5th graders.

Teacher assignments will be available through the Aeries Portal at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 31st.

More information about the start of school will be shared next week.

We are looking forward to seeing our Jaguars and welcoming everyone back for another incredible year! Thank you for being such an important part of our Jensen Ranch community. Let’s make our 31st year our best one yet!

We look forward to seeing you at Walk-Through Registration next Wednesday, July 29th, with two convenient time options:

Morning: 7:30–9:30 a.m.

Evening: 4:00–6:00 p.m.

This annual event is an important opportunity to update your child’s health information, emergency contacts, and address if you have moved. Please note that our school office will be closed during registration hours as our staff will be supporting the event.

Our office is currently open, and Mrs. Long, our wonderful administrative assistant, is available to assist families Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 1:00–4:00 p.m. As we get closer to the start of school, we recommend scheduling an appointment in advance to ensure we have enough time to provide the assistance you need.

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year. Listed below are details about the data confirmation and registration process which is required for you to complete for each of your students prior to the school year starting. Data Confirmation occurs in the Aeries system and, as of 7/23/26, you can login to your Aeries Parent Portal to complete this process. During this process, you will receive a Registration Checklist for the respective school(s) of your student(s) in order for you to participate in the respective school’s walkthrough Registration event.

This will be completed in Aeries through your Parent Portal Accounts https://castrovalleyusd.asp.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx?page=default.aspx

During data confirmation, one of the documents you will be required to read and print is the Registration Checklist for your student(s). This document includes instructions and additional requirements for that school.
